Rob has been Managing Director of Oriel since July 2008.
He first fully realized his passion for food and wine when visiting Neapolitan relatives after his second year of college. Exposure to the region’s simple and fresh cuisine, along with the amazing symmetry of its age-old wine tradition, fuelled his desire to study food and wine in the classroom and to structure his leisure travel around some of the great winemaking regions of Europe and America.
Rob has over 10 years of experience in a range of finance and operations positions. He started his career as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, then spent four years as a Senior Vice President at Eastdil Secured, a real estate investment advisory firm owned by Wells Fargo. In between he also found time to create a fine food company importing premium olive oils from Europe and North Africa and distributing them in the United States.
Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and International Finance from Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. In his spare time Rob is an avid skier, loves to travel, and is interested in human rights issues.
