Sébastien was raised and educated in St. Emilion. His formal training
in wine began early, and included vintages at the renowned Château Lacroix in Pomerol, Château Pontet-Canet in Pauillac, and also La Jota Vineyard in Napa Valley, USA. Sébastien, an avid lover of all wine
styles, also spent 4 years working in South Africa and Morocco, in
addition to other important properties in his home region of Bordeaux.
In 2005, Château de Sours’ managing director and Oriel advisor, Esme
Johnstone, handed over the reigns to this rising star. In Sébastien’s
hands, the famous rosés from Château de Sours have gained even more prominence and acclaim. Critics have lauded his work as “the best rosés ever.” We are delighted to have Sébastien’s deep knowledge of and passion for Bordeaux wines in our 2006 vintage of ‘Femme Fatale.’
