Falerne was a celebrated wine in the 12th century that the Bishop of Cahors sent to powerful men to win their gratitude.

Gravel and stony clay-limestone soils. 10 days fermentation and 20 days post-fermentation maceration in open barrels with manual 'pigeages'. Aged for 21 months in French oak (100% new).


100% Malbec. Picked: October 2–3, 2002.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Blackcurrant, blueberry, raspberry, menthol, licorice and spice.Taste: Intense, dark fruits and a velvety tannic structure.
